The chief aviation hub that serves Sydney is no other than Sydney Airport. It is specifically located in the suburban area of Mascot in Sydney, lending service to most parts of Australia. There are three major terminals in the airport that go by the simple labels of Terminals 1, 2 and 3. A fourth terminal actually exists to the east of Terminal 2, and which used to be the Domestic Express. Another one is the Freight Terminal which lied to the north of Terminal 1.

A wide range of facilities are available for use, as expected of an international airport capable of world-class service. There are several lounges where travellers can take a rest before or after their flight, and the most notable is perhaps the Qantas Lounge of Terminal 3 that as everything anyone would require of a first-class lounge.

You can also never go hungry wherever you are in the airport. More than enough food outlets are sited in the vicinity, ranging from coffee shops to restaurants. Transportation too is also not a problem. Many companies provide car rentals in Sydney Airport, and some of them are Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty, Europcar and RedSpot.

Some accommodations are available in the airport, but there are a lot more along the streets of Sydney which can be easily scaled with a cheap car hire in Sydney Airport.
