The CDG Terminal 1 is a single terminal building of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The terminal is part of the principal aviation centres in the world. The Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the main airport of France, servicing the capital city. It is located north east of the city, around 25km.

The airport’s land area straddles three French departments and some six communes, including the Seine-et-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, and the Val-d’Oise departments. The airport ranks sixth busiest airport in the world, with a total of 57,884,954 passengers served in 2009. The airport ranks 10th in the world for having busy cargo traffic.

There are three terminals in the airport, and the CDG Terminal 1 is the oldest. Terminal 2 was built to host Air France originally, but it has now expanded to cater to other airlines. Terminal 3 is for low cost airlines and charters. CDG Terminal 1 has check in and baggage claims, and has seven satellites. Each satellite is able to handle up to 5 aircraft at a time. Built with an avant garde design, the CDG Terminal 1 can be connected to other terminals and parking lots through a light rail system. The terminal also provides car hire in CDG Terminal 1 for travellers to get around the city.

There is also the Roissy bus that departs from terminals 1 and 2, and goes directly to Paris. But with a cheap car hire in CDG Terminal 1, you can easily get access to the French capital with ease and convenience that public transport systems cannot provide. Having a low cost vehicle will prove to be a value for your money in the long run as well.

The city of Paris does not need much introduction; one of Europe’s most populated metropolitan areas, a leader in business, a influential centre for media, fashion, arts, and culture, and home to iconic landmarks, making Paris one of the top tourist destinations in the world, with over 45 million tourists coming in yearly. The city was a labyrinth of narrow streets, until the urban remodelling of the 19th century. Important city institutions are mostly outside of the city limits. There is the financial and business district, La Defense, the Rungis wholesale market, and more. Place de la Bastille, the garden promenade of Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, and of course the Eiffel tower, are places that shouldn’t be missed during a trip to Paris. All of this can be made possible by driving a car rental in CDG Terminal 1.
